Religious institutes in Benevento and Syracuse inaugur academic years

The San Giuseppe Moscati Higher Institute of Religious Sciences in Benevento will inaugurate its 2026/2027 academic year on November 10, 2026. The event features Monsignor Antonio Staglianò, President of the Pontifical Academy of Theology, who will deliver a lecture on “Pop Theology.” This discipline aims to bridge theological knowledge with contemporary cultural expressions, music, and digital media to foster dialogue with new generations.

Separately, the San Metodio Higher Institute of Religious Sciences in Syracuse is launching its 2026/2027 academic year on October 30. The theme for the year is freedom, specifically exploring the concept of liberty in the age of artificial intelligence. The program includes a lecture by pedagogue Franco Nembrini titled “The Great Challenge: Educating Freedom,” following an eucharistic celebration led by Archbishop Francesco Lomanto.
