Religious leaders in Denmark address persecution and migrant ministry
Religious leaders and organizations in Denmark recently held gatherings to discuss the challenges facing Christian communities and migrant clergy.
The Think Tank for Persecuted Christians held its annual meeting to examine global drivers of religious persecution. Discussions focused on cases in Nigeria, Israel/Palestine, and Armenia, highlighting how authoritarian regimes, surveillance technology, extremist ideologies, ethno-religious nationalism, and armed conflicts contribute to violence and legal discrimination against Christians.
Separately, an inspiration conference for migrant pastors and leaders took place in Middelfart. The event brought together approximately 80 participants representing over 40 migrant congregations and international communities in Denmark, including Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant, and Pentecostal groups. Keynote speaker Colin Chapman addressed the complexities of modern life, urging leaders to engage with contemporary issues such as climate change, global conflicts, and artificial intelligence to serve as sources of hope in a chaotic world.
