Religious observances scheduled in Alife and Tirano

Religious celebrations are scheduled in various Italian locations. In Alife, the novenario in honor of the Madonna della Grazia begins on September 10. The program includes nightly Rosary recitations and Masses at the sanctuary. The festivities will conclude on September 20 with a procession of the Virgin's statue through the streets of Alife and a solemn concelebration. The theme for this year is ‘the Grace that generates the Human,’ inspired by the encyclical Magnifica Humanitas.

In the Tirano region, an annual Via Crucis is planned for Monday, September 14, 2026, to mark the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. The pilgrimage will travel from Reola to Novaglia, starting from the Basilica della Madonna di Tirano. The route features 14 stations and leads to the Croce d’Amore (also known as the Blue Cross), a landmark located at an altitude similar to Mount Calvary in the Holy Land.
