Religious pilgrimages held in Croatia and Serbia
Religious gatherings and pilgrimages took place in Croatia and Serbia. In Croatia, pilgrims gathered at the shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Sveta Gora on October 11. The program included prayers for the harvest and a thanksgiving for the past pilgrimage year. During the service, prayers were offered for Pope Leo XIV, who is scheduled for surgery to remove a lung nodule, as well as for the Rijeka Archdiocese.
In Serbia, thousands of believers visited the Church of Saint Panteleimon in Lučina, near Ćićevac, between October 3 and October 11. The event centered on the presence of the relics of Saint Nektarios of Aegina, a highly revered Orthodox saint. A daily schedule of Holy Liturgies and Akathist prayers for health and family was maintained throughout the visit, which drew pilgrims from across the country.
