Spain hosts diverse summer festivals and cultural events

Various regions across Spain are hosting diverse summer festivals and cultural events throughout August and September.

In Galicia, a total solar eclipse will be marked by musical events in 156 municipalities, including performances in A Coruña and Agolada. In Cantabria, Meruelo is celebrating the San Bartolomé festivities with music and gastronomy. Other regional celebrations include the Silo techno festival in Villadase, the Fiestas de la Misericordia in Burriana, and the August fairs in Toledo featuring medieval markets and concerts.

Musical programming is extensive, ranging from traditional Spanish music and zarzuela in Fuengirola to electronic music in Palencia and the L.E.V. Matadero experimental project. Gastronomic traditions also feature prominently, such as the ham festival in Bermés and viticulture celebrations in Tomelloso.
