Religious processions held in Dos Hermanas and Córdoba
Various religious processions and traditional festivities are taking place across different regions in Spain. In Dos Hermanas, the Virgen de Valme began her annual pilgrimage route toward Cuarto, accompanied by the Banda de Música de Dos Hermanas Santa Ana and crowds of devotees through streets like Botica.
In Córdoba, the 50th anniversary of the blessing of the Virgen de la Merced was marked by an extraordinary procession. Despite weather warnings and the threat of rain, which forced a shortened route and an early conclusion, the event featured new ceremonial attire, including a 19th-century lace headpiece and the Saya del Cincuentenario. The procession was accompanied by the Banda de Cornetas y Tambores Coronación de Espinas and the Banda de Música Tubamirum.
Additionally, the Archicofradía de la Vera-Cruz in Córdoba scheduled the procession of the Divina Pastora de las Almas. The image, carved by Miguel Ángel González Jurado, is set to traverse the streets of the Campo de la Verdad neighborhood, accompanied by the Banda de la Estrella.
