Religious relics of Carlo Acutis and Padre Pío undergo public veneration
Religious relics of two prominent saints have recently been made available for public veneration in different regions.
In Luque, Paraguay, approximately 1,300 people visited the Santuario Virgen del Rosario to venerate the relic of Carlo Acutis. The Italian youth, known for his interest in computer science and devotion to the Eucharist, was honored during a day of prayer that included participation from youth groups and pilgrims traveling from various parts of Paraguay and Argentina.
In Mérida, Mexico, a first-degree relic of Padre Pío is being exhibited at the Templo Expiatorio de Nuestra Señora de la Consolación. The relic, a fragment of a glove containing traces of blood from the priest's stigmata, was organized for public viewing by the Padre Pío Prayer Group. The event serves to honor the Capuchin friar, who was known for bearing the stigmata for 50 years.
