Religious summer programs conclude with Quran memorization awards
Various religious educational programs concluded their summer sessions with award ceremonies for Quran memorization students in Egypt and Yemen.
In Tahta, Egypt, the Ministry of Awqaf organized a ceremony at Al-Fath Mosque to honor students who participated in summer memorization programs. The event, attended by officials from the Sohag Awqaf Directorate, aimed to encourage youth to engage with religious studies and foster moral development.
In Hadibu, Socotra, the Socotra Archipelago Charity Foundation and the Socotra House for Quranic Education held a closing ceremony for their 2026 summer courses. Approximately 100 female students were honored for completing programs focused on Quranic recitation, memorization, and religious ethics. The organizers emphasized the importance of promoting moderate values and protecting youth from extremist ideologies through community-based religious education.
