Religious traditions mark Marian celebrations in Italy
Various Italian communities are holding traditional religious celebrations in honor of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
In Trevignano Romano, the annual Marian Procession will take place on Lake Bracciano on August 15. This event features a new artistic installation designed by Angelo Russo, which will be unveiled during the procession to accompany the passage of the Madonna Assunta across the water.
In Positano, a Marian pilgrimage was held at dawn, led by Bishop Michele Fusco. The event included the recitation of the Holy Rosary and a Mass at the Parish Church of Santa Maria Assunta, where the Bishop emphasized the importance of living out faith in daily life.
