Religious vocational events held in Petrópolis and Garibaldi

Various religious vocational events are taking place across Brazil. In the Diocese of Petrópolis, the Vocational Novena – Vocational Hour 2026 has commenced. Running from August 23 to August 31, the initiative features daily videos designed to encourage prayer for vocations and reflection on community involvement. The theme is centered on the 5th Brazilian Vocational Congress, which is scheduled to be held from September 4 to 6 at the National Sanctuary of Aparecida.

In Garibaldi, the 12th Vocational Journey recently concluded after a week of missionary activities held from August 10 to 16. The event, inspired by the 130th anniversary of the Capuchins' arrival in Rio Grande do Sul, brought together approximately 60 missionaries, including priests, friars, and religious sisters. During the week, participants visited around 150 commercial establishments, industries, and 14 schools to engage with the local community. The journey ended with a large gathering of faithful and caravans from various cities across the state.
