Śrem hosts third Equality Carnival parade

The third Equality Carnival took place in Śrem on Saturday, October 24. The event included a picnic, speeches, and a parade through the city streets, passing landmarks such as the Match Girl monument and the Municipal Office, where a rainbow flag was displayed.

Attendance for this year's event was notably smaller than in previous years, with only a dozen or so participants marching. This represents a decrease from the approximately 30 participants recorded in August 2025. The parade featured a more modest setup compared to prior editions, utilizing a small speaker mounted on a bicycle rather than a platform vehicle.

The organizers, including groups such as Lambda Polska and Akcja Demokracja, stated that the Carnival for Equality aims to be a space for discussing openness, acceptance, and equal treatment, covering topics beyond LGBT+ rights, such as social exclusion, public transport accessibility, and support for people with disabilities.
