Rembang conducts maritime search and rescue simulation
The Rembang Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) conducted a maritime search and rescue (SAR) simulation at Tasikagung Beach to improve emergency preparedness. The exercise focused on water rescue skills for volunteers to mitigate the risks associated with the region's 65-kilometer coastline.
The simulation included a scenario involving a fishing vessel sinking due to bad weather and a subsequent oil spill. Joint SAR teams practiced responding to these emergencies to ensure personnel possess the necessary skills to handle potential maritime accidents in the area.
