Rembang Regency distributes Rp4 billion in scholarships to 106 students

The Rembang Regency Government has distributed higher education achievement scholarships to 106 students for the 2026 academic year. The program, which involves an allocation of over Rp4 billion, aims to expand access to higher education and alleviate the financial burden on families.

Out of 236 applicants, 106 were selected, including 98 students attending state universities and eight attending private universities. To promote educational equity, the government prioritized 11 villages that currently have the lowest number of university graduates.

Since the program's inception in 2017, 1,543 people have applied, resulting in 600 scholarship recipients, with 284 having already completed their degrees. The distribution of funds was symbolically handed over by Rembang Regent Harno at the Regency Office.
