Remedios de Escalada: Armed robbery targets siblings visiting nursing home

Two siblings were victims of an armed robbery in Remedios de Escalada, Lanús, while visiting their 90-year-old mother at a nursing home. The incident occurred near the entrance of the ‘Los Araucas’ elderly home.

According to security footage, the victims arrived in a grey Toyota Yaris. As the driver exited the vehicle to access the trunk, a white car blocked their path, and two armed assailants emerged. One attacker pursued the man toward the facility, while the second attacked the woman, throwing her against the pavement to seize her keys. One victim attempted to prevent the escape by clinging to the car window but was forced to let go to avoid being run over. The suspects fled in their vehicles.

The case is being investigated by the UFI No. 6 of the Avellaneda-Lanús Judicial Department under Prosecutor Yanina Vanesa Estévez, who has ordered the collection of video footage to identify the suspects' escape route.
