Remedy Entertainment prepares Control Resonant for September 24 release
Remedy Entertainment is preparing for the September 24 release of Control Resonant, a direct sequel to the 2019 title Control. The new game shifts focus to Dylan Faden, the brother of the original protagonist Jesse Faden, and introduces a more action-oriented RPG combat system featuring the Aberrant, a shape-shifting weapon.
Technical details for PlayStation 5 users have been confirmed. The standard PS5 will offer a Performance mode (60 FPS at 1440p) and a Quality mode (30 FPS at 2160p). The PS5 Pro will support three modes: Performance (60 FPS at 2160p), Quality (60 FPS at 2160p with ray tracing), and a Balanced mode (40 FPS at 2160p with ray tracing) for 120 Hz displays, utilizing PSSR technology.
The game will also feature extensive accessibility options, allowing players to customize difficulty through a control panel. This includes adjusting enemy aggression, projectile speed, and damage parameters. Reviews are expected to be released on September 18, six days ahead of the official launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
