Remi Wolf releases new ballad “I Won’t Cry” ahead of upcoming album

Singer Remi Wolf has released “I Won’t Cry,” a new ballad featured on her upcoming third studio album, “Mud,” which is scheduled for release on October 9 via Island Records.

Wolf described the track as a sad, yearning, and dramatic song that incorporates elements of country and Southern rock. The song was written and recorded during a writing retreat in Big Bear and was co-produced by Wolf alongside Jack DeMeo and Solomonphonic. The music video, co-directed by Wolf and Milo Nichols, features a scene in a drive-through car wash.

“Mud” follows Wolf’s previous records, “Juno” and “Big Ideas,” and includes the previously released singles “Twiggy” and “Bottle.”
