Remo Freiiler drives Olympiacos success following transfer interest

Swiss midfielder Remo Freiiler has emerged as a key player for Olympiacos, providing decisive performances in recent matches. The 34-year-old has recorded two crucial assists in consecutive victories: one for Jaremchuk against Jagiellonia in the Europa League and another for Saliakas in a league match against Levadiakos.

Freiiler’s impact follows significant transfer interest during the summer window. Reports indicate that AS Roma, led by coach Gian Piero Gasperini, had expressed interest in the midfielder. Additionally, Bologna FC made substantial efforts to retain the player on a new contract, though Olympiacos ultimately secured his signing.
