Remo Schellino premieres 1980s documentary in Farigliano

Director Remo Schellino held the premiere of his documentary, ‘Tutto era turbo… o quasi’, at Naviante di Farigliano. The outdoor screening attracted nearly 400 spectators.

The film serves as the second installment in a trilogy exploring the collective memory of Italy and the Cuneo province. While the first chapter focused on the 1960s and 1970s, this film examines the 1980s. It weaves together major national events—such as the Chernobyl disaster, the death of Alfredino Rampi, the Moro assassination, the Irpinia earthquake, and the 1982 World Cup—with local narratives.

Key local themes include the origins of Slow Food, the rise of the Baladin brand, and the cultural impact of the Langa region's disco scene, featuring venues like Caesar Palace, La Goba, and Baia Blanca. A third chapter covering the 1990s and 2000s is currently in development.
