Remonte Bräu holds community brewery festival in Oberschleißheim

Remonte Bräu Schleißheim eG recently held a brewery festival at Bürgerplatz in Oberschleißheim. The event was officially opened by Bavarian Beer Queen Katharina Kastenmüller. Attendees included First Mayor Markus Böck and Josef Fischer, managing director of logistics partner Getränke K+F.

The festival featured music from the Oberschleißheim brass band and DJ Nicer, continuing into the evening despite rain. The celebration focused on the brewery's mission of community engagement and social connection.

Remonte Bräu is a cooperative brewery founded in 2018 by 23 members to revive the local brewing tradition in Oberschleißheim, which had been absent for over 100 years. The brewery aims to function as a 'meaningful and participatory brewery' (Sinn- und Mitmachbrauerei), allowing local residents to engage in various roles such as event organization, sales, and communication to foster regional identity.
