Remote Exercise Program Boosts Function in Heart‑Failure Patients
A multidisciplinary consortium led by Navarrabiomed‑Fundación Miguel Servet validated a tele‑monitoring platform for prescribing and supervising physical exercise in patients with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction. The SENSORFIT‑4HEART study showed that a structured, remotely delivered exercise regimen significantly improved functional capacity and quality of life. The initiative combined clinical research from the Hospital Universitario de Navarra and Cima Universidad de Navarra with technology from NAITEC, Lorpeland, 540 and ADItech.
Project coordinator Mikel Izquierdo emphasized the aim to provide safe, personalized exercise to this growing patient group, addressing the limited therapeutic options currently available.
