Remy Garrison releases country-R&B single “Body Count”

Remy Garrison has released a new single titled “Body Count,” a track that blends country storytelling with R&B vocal phrasing. The song, which arrived on October 23, centers on a theme of female independence and confidence during a night out, subverting the expectation that dressing up is an invitation for male attention.

Garrison collaborated with songwriters Amy Peters and Nash Overstreet to develop the track. Overstreet, the son of Country Music Hall of Famer Paul Overstreet and formerly of the band Hot Chelle Rae, helped Garrison integrate her country roots with smooth R&B elements. The release is described as a deliberate step in Garrison’s musical evolution, aiming to establish a cohesive genre-blending identity.
