Remy Ma recently used social media to challenge Papoose to sign their divorce papers, suggesting he do so to ‘prove’ his commitment to Shields. The rapper also referenced an upcoming court date scheduled for September 11.

The conflict has escalated through various social media exchanges. Shields has reportedly mocked Remy Ma on X, calling her a ‘loser’ and accusing her of a ‘mid-life crisis’ following Remy Ma’s public association with boxers Alycia Baumgardner and Amanda Serrano, who are rivals of Shields.

Both artists have also integrated the tension into their music. Remy Ma teased a new single titled ‘Why I Get Married,’ while Papoose released a track called ‘Jezebel,’ which listeners have interpreted as being about his former wife. The couple, married for nearly 17 years, separated in late 2024.
