René Emmanuel Sadi orders restoration of Vision 4 broadcasting

Cameroonian Minister of Communication René Emmanuel Sadi has ordered Canal+ Cameroun to immediately resume broadcasting the Vision 4 television channel. This directive follows a one-month suspension imposed on the channel by the National Communication Council (CNC) during its 48th extraordinary session on September 29, 2026.

In a letter dated October 2, 2026, Minister Sadi justified the intervention by stating that the CNC's decision posed a threat to the media landscape's balance and could cause prejudice to the national economy. The decision has raised questions regarding the institutional independence of the CNC, which is the regulatory body tasked with resolving media disputes.
