René van der Gijp criticizes NOS analyst Imke Courtois

Former footballer René van der Gijp has expressed criticism regarding Belgian football analyst Imke Courtois. During the program KieftJansenEgmondGijp, Van der Gijp described Courtois’s contributions to NOS broadcasts as “vrij vermoeiend” (quite exhausting), citing an instance where she provided an answer lasting approximately twenty minutes while seated alongside former coach Ron Jans.

While Van der Gijp criticized Courtois's lengthy responses, fellow commentator Kieft offered a different perspective on analyst Leonne Stentler, describing her as “prima” and noting that analysts bring their own unique styles to the studio. Courtois, who began her work with NOS during the World Cup, has since been integrated into the Eredivisie match summary broadcasts.
