Rena Dourou challenges PM Mitsotakis ahead of UN speech

Rena Dourou, leader of the SYRIZA parliamentary group, has issued a series of challenges to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis ahead of his speech at the United Nations General Assembly. Dourou has proposed six specific questions, plus one additional inquiry, regarding Greece's national strategy and sovereignty.

Key issues raised include the government's response to Turkey's ‘Blue Homeland’ doctrine, the management of energy projects in the Eastern Mediterranean, and the potential for Turkish interference in Greek sovereign rights. Dourou also questioned the strategy for expanding territorial waters and the approach toward a fair resolution of the Cyprus issue in cooperation with the Republic of Cyprus.

Additionally, Dourou criticized the current administration's foreign policy, suggesting it follows the lead of leaders like Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu. She also targeted Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis and Minister Adonis Georgiadis, while expressing concerns regarding the government's impact on national sovereignty and the daily lives of citizens.
