Rena Yamazaki Announces Pregnancy and Hiatus

On July 30, Japanese idol Rena Yamazaki announced that she is pregnant, first revealing the news on her radio program and then confirming it with an official statement on her website. She said both she and the baby are healthy and that she will take a temporary break from several entertainment activities, including the daily live show she hosts, with plans to return sometime next year.

Yamazaki rose to fame as a second‑generation member of the idol group Nogizaka46 before graduating in 2022. Since then she has worked in television and radio and has not disclosed any partner or marriage.
