Rena Yamazaki announces substitute hosts for TOKYO FM radio program
Rena Yamazaki, the personality for the TOKYO FM radio program ‘Rena Yamazaki no Dareka ni Hanashitakatta Koto’ (Darehana), will be taking a hiatus. Starting in October, Akari Mori will serve as the substitute personality on Mondays and Tuesdays, while Sarina Ushio will cover Wednesdays and Thursdays.
In a recent broadcast of the program, comedian Kanpei Ma appeared as a guest. Ma reflected on his experiences as a charity marathon runner for Nippon TV’s ‘24 Hour Television’ in the early 1990s. He shared anecdotes regarding his original intention to run 200km from Naeba, Niigata, which resulted in him being stopped by the Saitama Prefectural Police after approximately 150km to avoid congestion at the Toda Bridge. He also discussed his subsequent runs, including a period of running nearly 100km daily for seven days following the Kobe earthquake.
