Renaldo Borriero campaigns for BPS board elections in Uruguay

Renaldo Borriero, a candidate for the upcoming social representative elections for the Banco de Previsión Social (BPS) board, has been campaigning in the Cerro Largo department. The elections, scheduled for November 22, involve workers, employers, and retirees.

Borriero is positioning himself as an alternative to the ONAJPU representation. His platform focuses on bringing the BPS closer to the population, specifically by restoring payment tours and mobile offices to small towns in the interior of the country. He noted that retirees in remote areas face unique challenges, such as a lack of local service counters and personal assistance, in addition to the general issue of low pension payments.
