Renan Santos accuses Flávio Bolsonaro of criminal ties

Renan Santos, leader of the Missão party and MBL, has faced renewed scrutiny following the viral spread of a video from a September meeting with Amcham Brasil. In the footage, Santos attacks Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, accusing him of involvement with the Comando Vermelho criminal faction. Santos stated that he holds “absolute contempt” for anyone intending to vote for the senator, labeling their political opinions as “trash.”

It is noted that these accusations are political in nature and do not correspond to any judicial or police conclusion. Previously, the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) ordered the removal of publications linking the senator to the criminal organization, stating there was no “concrete data, formal investigation, or legal imputation” to support such a link. Santos has argued his comments relate to the political support the senator provides to figures currently under Federal Police investigation.

Separately, Santos expressed frustration regarding the performance of his party, Missão, suggesting that modern politics has shifted toward validating ideological bubbles rather than proposing substantive public solutions.
