Renan Santos launches presidential bid, unveils 'Livro Amarelo' platform
On 1 August 2026 the newly formed Missão party held a convention in São Paulo’s east‑zone (Komplexo Tempo, Mooca) to officially nominate entrepreneur Renan Santos as its presidential candidate, with reserve‑captain Aroldo Medina as vice‑president. The event sold tickets from R$ 94 up to R$ 7 000, the highest tier including an “open‑bar” mezzanine and a luxury edition of the party’s policy book, the Livro Amarelo, priced at R$ 7 000.
Missão will receive R$ 3.3 million from the electoral fund (about 0.07 % of the total). Santos presented a platform that calls for a fiscal adjustment of roughly R$ 1.1 trillion by 2031, the creation of a special economic zone in the Northeast, deeper industrialisation, and a hard‑line security agenda that promises to “kill those who steal”, cut homicides to under 10 000 per year, reduce the number of favelas, limit Bolsa Família benefits, and raise literacy rates. He also criticised President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Senator Flávio Bolsonaro and Senator Sérgio Moro. The convention also announced the creation of the Instituto Livro Amarelo foundation to fund the party’s activities.
