Renate dismisses head coach Giacomo Gattuso

Serie C club Renate has dismissed head coach Giacomo Gattuso and technical collaborator Gianmarco Ievoli following a string of poor results. Gattuso’s tenure lasted 82 days, during which the team recorded only two draws and four losses in six league matches, alongside a 4-1 defeat to Cittadella in the Coppa Italia.

Following the dismissal, the club is reportedly moving to appoint Simone Banchieri as the new manager. Banchieri, who has previous experience with Pontedera and Messina, is considered the top candidate to restore defensive stability and momentum to the squad in Girone A.
