Premio Carosone returns to Arena Flegrea in Naples

The Premio Carosone will take place on Wednesday, September 30, at the Arena Flegrea in Naples. The event celebrates the musical legacy of Renato Carosone, an innovator who helped establish Neapolitan song as a globally recognized and evolving heritage.

Organized by artistic director Federico Vacalebre and funded by the Campania Region, the ceremony aims to bridge musical traditions with contemporary expressions. The program will feature a dialogue between different generations and musical styles, honoring Carosone alongside other influential figures who passed away recently, such as Peppino Di Capri and James Senese.

The musical journey is expected to span from the “Americans of Naples” era to modern artists, including Liberato, Nu Genea, and Geolier. Admission to the event is free, with tickets becoming available on ETES starting September 25.
