Renato Loffi campaign headquarters burned in Ribeirão das Neves

The campaign headquarters of PSB state deputy candidate Renato Loffi was set on fire during the early hours of Thursday, September 24, in the Justinópolis district of Ribeirão das Neves, Minas Gerais.

Security footage shows a single individual entering the premises around 2:45 a.m. and setting fire to the office and production area through a window. The fire destroyed computers, mobile phones, and campaign materials. Loffi estimates the damage to the headquarters at R$ 22,000, while total losses from recent vandalism of approximately 800 street flags are estimated at R$ 140,000.

The arson follows a series of recent attacks where campaign flags were being stolen, broken, or burned. Loffi, who describes himself as a primary opposition figure in the municipality, has reported previous instances of corruption and has been warned by community leaders not to campaign in certain areas. The Federal Police are investigating the incident as a potential electoral crime.
