Renato Schifani outlines Sicilian regional development agenda

Sicilian Regional President Renato Schifani outlined his administration's upcoming agenda during an appearance at the Etna Forum in Regalna, Catania. Schifani emphasized a commitment to continuing his work to maintain the trust of the Sicilian people despite various political tensions.

He highlighted several major upcoming projects intended to drive growth and attractiveness to the region, including thermal waste processors, the opening of thermal baths, a pediatric hub, and a hospital in Syracuse. Schifani also addressed the reform of the Technical Specialist Commission (CTS), noting that the body has been restructured with new members to ensure it remains a strategic, non-political organism. He noted that the commission, alongside the Environment Department led by Giusy Savarino, has been instrumental in accelerating administrative processes.
