Renato Veiga discusses tactical feedback from Jorge Jesus

Portugal defender Renato Veiga has discussed his early experiences working with coach Jorge Jesus ahead of a match against Norway. Veiga noted that Jesus has already provided specific tactical feedback regarding his defensive positioning, advising him to play further forward rather than dropping too deep.

Veiga, whose father was also coached by Jesus, expressed a desire to maximize his time under the manager's guidance. Regarding the upcoming opponent, Veiga acknowledged the quality of Erling Haaland but emphasized that the team is focused on Norway's overall dynamic and vertical play rather than just a single player.

Additionally, Veiga touched upon the global influence of Cristiano Ronaldo, noting the pride felt by Portuguese players when his reputation precedes them in foreign countries.
