Automotive trends: Renault 4CV limitations and Toyota bZ4X launch

The automotive landscape features a contrast between classic vehicle maintenance and modern electric innovation. The Renault 4CV faces significant challenges for daily family use due to mechanical limitations and regulatory hurdles. Its rear-mounted 747 cm³ engine is prone to overheating and oil pressure issues during intensive urban driving, requiring much higher maintenance than modern vehicles. Additionally, Low Emission Zones (ZFE) pose a barrier to its daily operation as it lacks a Crit’Air sticker.

In contrast, Toyota has introduced the bZ4X, an electric station wagon designed for family utility. The model features a 669-liter trunk, positioning it as a high-capacity competitor against models like the Skoda Enyaq and Hyundai Ioniq 5. The vehicle includes all-wheel drive and modern technological integrations, offering an alternative to the increasingly dominant SUV segment.
