Renault announces new Clio Rally5 for 2027 debut

Renault has confirmed the development of the new Clio Rally5, a competition version based on the sixth generation of its popular city car. The vehicle is being designed to meet the revised FIA Rally5 technical regulations that will take effect in 2027.

The project aims to provide an accessible entry point for private drivers and young talent in motorsport. The new model is scheduled to make its competitive debut in France, where Renault will host two single-make championships: one on asphalt and one on gravel/macadam.

Following its initial launch in France, the Clio Rally5 is expected to expand to international markets, potentially by 2028. While technical specifications and pricing have not yet been disclosed, Renault plans to officially unveil the car and the 2027 competition calendars in the coming weeks.
