Renault expands market share in Poland while Peugeot faces delays

Renault is experiencing significant growth in the Polish light commercial vehicle (LCV) market. Between January and September 2026, Renault's LCV registrations in Poland increased by 40.8 percent, outpacing the overall market growth of 12.8 percent. This surge has increased Renault's market share to 18.7 percent, securing its position as the market leader in the segment. The brand's success is particularly notable in the chassis cab segment, where it holds a 38.8 percent market share.

In contrast, Stellantis is facing potential delays with the new Peugeot 208. Unofficial reports suggest the project may not reach customers until early 2028 due to complexities in developing the vehicle's software and internal financial reallocations. This delay provides a competitive advantage to the Renault Clio, which is already available in various powertrains, and the Renault 5 electric model.
