Renault Kwid sales in Brazil driven by fleet management

The Renault Kwid has seen significant sales volume in Brazil, particularly driven by direct sales to corporate clients and fleet management companies. In July, 55.8% of the 4,382 Kwid units registered in Brazil were through direct sales, totaling 2,446 units, compared to 1,936 via traditional retail.

Paraná has emerged as a major hub for this sector. The state hosts 3,044 companies involved in vehicle rental and fleet management, trailing only São Paulo and Minas Gerais. Notably, 70% of the activity in Paraná is dedicated to fleet management and outsourcing rather than conventional rental. This concentration is partly attributed to a 1% IPVA tax rate for vehicles meeting specific rental criteria, which is lower than the rate for private automobiles in the state.

The Renault Kwid Zen version is currently offered at R$ 82,790. This model features a 1.0 flex engine, manual five-speed transmission, and a 290-liter trunk. It achieves fuel efficiency ratings of up to 15.5 km/l on highways and 14.6 km/l in urban settings when using gasoline.
