Renault launches electric Twingo E-Tech under 20,000 EUR
Renault has launched the all-electric Twingo E-Tech, fulfilling a 2023 commitment to introduce an electric vehicle priced under 20,000 euros. The model features a retro design inspired by the original 1992 version and is manufactured at the Revoz plant in Novo Mesto, Slovenia.
In Slovakia, the Evolution trim is available starting at 19,900 EUR, while the higher-spec Techno version is priced at 21,500 EUR. In the Czech Republic, the Evolution trim is priced at 499,000 CZK, with the Techno version starting at 539,000 CZK. The vehicle is designed primarily for urban environments, featuring a compact size and a battery optimized for city driving.
The Twingo brand has a significant history, with over 4 million units sold across 25 countries over the last three decades. The new electric model was developed in less than two years.
