Renault launches sixth‑generation Clio hybrid with sportier design and advanced tech
Renault has introduced the sixth generation of its Clio model, now offered as a full‑hybrid E‑Tech. The new Clio is longer (4.12 m), wider (1.77 m) and features a more aggressive front grille and diamond‑shaped lights, giving it a sportier look. It is available in six colour options, including two new shades.
Inside, the car sports a dual‑screen infotainment system with two 10.1‑inch displays, OpenR Link integration and Google services, enabling navigation, music and voice commands without a smartphone. Up to 29 driver‑assistance functions are offered, such as highway assist, automatic emergency braking and advanced parking aids.
The hybrid powertrain delivers between 143 hp and 160 hp depending on the trim, with a claimed fuel consumption of 4.2 L/100 km and the ability to run on electric power for much of city driving. Prices start at €21,735 for the base version, while higher trims range from €23,270 to €27,690. Since its launch in 1990, the Clio line has sold 17 million units worldwide across five generations.
