Renault Niagara pickup slated for September 10 launch, production at Argentina plant

Renault is preparing to launch its new mid‑size pickup, the Niagara, with an official worldwide debut scheduled for 10 September. The vehicle will be built at the Santa Isabel factory in Argentina as part of the brand’s “futuroReady” strategy for Latin America.

Before the launch, the Niagara has logged almost 800,000 kilometres (over 50,000 testing hours) on validation routes in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and several European test centres. Engineers have focused on engine calibration for regional fuels, stability control (ESP), dynamic behaviour, thermal and acoustic comfort, water‑ and dust‑proofing, brake performance, connectivity and driver‑assist systems, as well as passive safety, corrosion resistance and ground clearance.

The extensive testing programme is intended to ensure the pickup meets the durability, performance and safety expectations of customers across the varied climates and terrains of its target markets.
