Renault offers bi-fuel petrol-LPG technology in Clio and Captur models

Renault Group is offering bi-fuel (petrol-LPG) technology in its Clio and Captur models through the Eco-G engine range. As the only automaker providing factory-installed dual-fuel systems, Renault utilizes over 15 years of experience with its bi-fuel technology.

The system is integrated during the production process and carries the same factory warranty as standard engines. The LPG tank is installed in place of the spare tire, ensuring that petrol tank capacity and luggage space remain unaffected. Using LPG can reduce fuel costs by up to 60% compared to petrol and lowers CO2 emissions by approximately 10%.

The Renault Clio Eco-G turbo 120 EDC features a 1.2-liter turbo engine producing 120 hp and 200 Nm of torque. With a 39-liter petrol tank and a 50-liter LPG tank, it offers a total range of up to 1,450 km. The Renault Captur Eco-G turbo 120 utilizes a similar 1.2-liter TCe engine, providing a total range of up to 1,400 km.
