Renault previews 2027 Scenic EV with LFP battery and up to 700 km range

Renault has begun testing pre‑production versions of the next‑generation Scenic, now a fully electric C‑SUV. Camouflaged prototypes were photographed on roads in southern Spain, revealing a refreshed front grille, redesigned lighting signatures and subtle rear tweaks that align the model with Renault’s latest design language.

The update is expected to incorporate a new lithium‑iron‑phosphate (LFP) battery pack, replacing the current 60‑87 kWh units. Industry sources estimate the top‑of‑range version could achieve close to 700 km of range on a single charge, a significant jump from the current 623 km claim. The LFP chemistry should also lower production costs and improve durability. Mechanical revisions are anticipated to be shared with the upcoming Renault Mégane, and while the 2027 Scenic will launch as an all‑electric vehicle, the new multi‑energy platform leaves open the possibility of future plug‑in hybrid variants.
