Renault refreshes Megane E-Tech Electric with longer range and faster charging

Renault has unveiled a refreshed Megane E-Tech Electric for the 2026 model year. The facelift brings a completely new front end with a closed grille, a diamond‑pattern LED signature and redesigned rear lights featuring a 3‑D effect, plus new 19‑ and 20‑inch wheel designs.

Under the skin, the car now uses a 67 kWh lithium‑iron‑phosphate (LFP) battery that raises WLTP range to up to 500 km. DC fast‑charging power is increased to 165 kW, allowing a 15‑to‑80 % charge in roughly 24 minutes. The same 215 hp electric motor delivers 300 Nm of torque and 0‑100 km/h in 7.6 seconds.

Inside, the cabin features dual digital displays – a 12.3‑inch instrument cluster and a 12‑inch infotainment screen – running Renault’s openR system with full Google integration. New driver‑recognition cameras, optional V2L/V2G capability, and a suite of assistance systems round out the upgrade. The model will be offered in Techno and Esprit Alpine trims, with sales starting in July 2026; pricing has not yet been disclosed. Production remains at Renault’s Douai plant in France, while the battery chemistry shifts from NCM to LFP.
