Renault rolls out refreshed Megane EV and previews new Scenic electric SUV

Renault has unveiled a facelift for its Megane E-Tech electric hatchback and revealed detailed images of the upcoming Scenic E-Tech electric SUV. The Megane update features a redesigned front bumper, new headlamp styling, a raised ride height and a dual‑screen openR cockpit that includes a 12.3‑inch digital instrument cluster and a 12‑inch touchscreen integrated with Google services and the Gemini conversational AI. Power comes from a 67 kWh LFP battery delivering up to 220 hp and 300 Nm, with WLTP range claims of up to 500 km and fast‑charging capability of 165 kW. Two trim levels are offered – the tech‑focused “Techno” and the sportier “Esprit Alpine”, the latter adding 20‑inch wheels, massage seats and a Harman Kardon audio system.

The new Scenic E-Tech, slated for a global debut at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, adopts the Megane’s digital cabin layout, including the same screen‑centred interface and Google‑based infotainment. It will be powered by a French‑made LFP battery of 67 kWh, paired with a 160 kW front‑motor delivering 218 hp and 300 Nm, providing a WLTP range exceeding 450 km. Charging options include an 11 kW AC charger (optional 22 kW) and a 165 kW DC fast‑charge. The model will also support wireless Qi2/MagSafe charging and expanded driver‑assist features. Production and launch are planned for 2027 following a likely pre‑sale window in late 2026.
