Renault expands electric vehicle lineup and secures high-end orders
Renault is significantly expanding its electric vehicle portfolio with several new model updates and high-performance releases. The company has already secured over 1,000 orders for the limited-edition Renault 5 Turbo 3E, a high-performance electric hot hatch. With a production cap of 1,980 units and prices starting around €160,000, some fully customized versions are expected to exceed €350,000.
In the commercial sector, Renault is introducing the Trafic E-Tech electric transporter. Available in two battery configurations, the entry-level model features a 60-kWh battery with a 350 km range, while the larger 81-kWh version offers up to 470 km. The Kangoo E-Tech electric is also receiving updates, including a larger 52-kWh battery that extends its range to 354 km and improved fast-charging capabilities.
The Renault 5 E-Tech electric range is also seeing improvements, with new aerodynamic optimizations and battery electronics increasing the range of the 52-kWh model to 430 km WLTP. Additionally, a more affordable 36.5-kWh LFP battery version of the Renault Five is expected to launch soon, offering a range of 305 km.
