Renault Trucks extends electric tractor range to 660 km, unveils models at UK expo
Renault Trucks announced that its E‑Tech T electric tractor family now achieves a single‑charge range of up to 660 km, covering 80% of real‑world long‑haul missions and 90% when a 45‑minute fast charge is taken during a driver’s mandatory rest. The range includes the E‑Tech T 780 (660 km, 27‑tonne payload), the E‑Tech T 585 (500 km) and the E‑Tech T 540 (450 km). Batteries are warranted for six years or 720,000 km, extendable to ten years. Emmanuel Duperray, Senior Vice‑President of Electromobility, said, “Range has long been perceived as the main obstacle to the electrification of long‑haul road transport. Operational data now shows that electric trucks are fully capable of meeting real‑world transport requirements.”
At the Road Transport Expo 2026 in Stoneleigh, UK (30 June–2 July), Renault Trucks will display its 2026 diesel and electric model range, including the T‑High 480, T‑480, C‑440 tipper and the fully electric E‑Tech T 4×2. The stand will feature a Ride‑and‑Drive programme, safety‑focused cameras and driver‑behaviour systems, and a heritage display of the iconic Renault Trucks Magnum. Aymeric Larcher, Managing Director for the UK and Ireland, will speak on the future of truck development and decarbonisation strategies.
