Renault Trucks unveils new electric and diesel trucks at IAA 2026
Renault Trucks used its stand (B52, 923 m²) at the IAA Transportation fair in Hannover, running from 15‑20 September 2026, to showcase a renewed range of diesel and electric heavy‑duty trucks aimed at decarbonising road transport.
The highlight was the world‑first Renault Trucks T 2027, equipped with the new DE13 R diesel engine delivering up to 540 hp and 2 800 Nm, combined with an Optidriver gearbox and a more powerful engine brake. The company says the engine cuts fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions by about 4 % compared with the previous generation.
On the electric side, Renault Trucks introduced the E‑Tech T 780, a long‑distance truck with a 660 km range enabled by a rear‑mounted electric axle and an expanded battery package. Complementary models included the regional E‑Tech T 540 (≈450 km range), the compact urban E‑Tech D 14 (turning radius under 7.3 m), and the light‑commercial E‑Tech Master Offroad designed for construction sites.
