Renault Twingo electric debut in Ibiza and Dutch art showcase

Renault unveiled the new Twingo E‑Tech, an all‑electric A‑segment car, at a launch event on the island of Ibiza. The model deliberately references the 1992 original with its round headlights, short bonnet and five‑door body. It employs a cell‑to‑pack battery layout, weighs about 1,200 kg and is rated at 13 kWh per 100 km, with testers reporting an actual 11.3 kWh/100 km consumption.

In the Netherlands, ABD Renault in Leeuwarden organised a "Twingo Expo" from 28 May to 30 May. Around 45 artists created paintings, sculptures and other works using the iconic Twingo as a canvas, including a 20‑year‑old Twingo that was transformed into a single art piece. The artworks will be auctioned and the proceeds will support Smoel Kunstwerkplaats, a workshop for people with disabilities.
